Frequently Asked Questions
We’re always here to help. These FAQs are designed to clearly answer the most common questions—so customers, search engines, and AI-powered tools can all understand how Flavor Plate works.
Is Flavor Plate easy to use for restaurant owners?
Yes. Flavor Plate is designed specifically for restaurant owners—no technical experience required. We’re confident enough to guarantee it. Try Flavor Plate for 60 days. If you don’t think it’s the easiest restaurant website builder you’ve used, cancel and we’ll refund your monthly subscription.
Are Flavor Plate websites accessible and ADA compliant?
Flavor Plate websites are built with accessibility best practices in mind. Each site uses a template that has been tested against Level AA Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which are widely recognized as the standard for ADA-related accessibility. These templates include semantic structure, readable content hierarchy, keyboard-friendly navigation, and ongoing accessibility testing.
That said, accessibility compliance is an ongoing process and can be influenced by how content is added and maintained. While Flavor Plate provides a strong, accessibility-aware foundation, we cannot guarantee full ADA compliance for every site. Learn more about how Flavor Plate supports accessibility.
Are Flavor Plate websites optimized for search engines and AI?
Yes. Flavor Plate websites are structured so search engines and AI-powered discovery tools can easily understand your content. Menus, events, pages, and contact details follow consistent semantic structure, helping modern search engines, voice assistants, and AI tools accurately interpret your restaurant’s information.
Does Flavor Plate help my restaurant show up in AI-powered search results?
Flavor Plate provides the technical foundation that helps AI tools accurately understand your restaurant’s content. While no platform can control how third-party AI systems rank or display results, our structured content, accessibility-first templates, and SEO best practices support modern AI-driven discovery.
Can I use my own domain name (web address)?
Yes. By default, your Flavor Plate trial website starts on a subdomain (for example, myrestaurant.flavorplate.com). You can continue using that, or connect your own custom domain (for example, www.myrestaurant.com). If you already have a domain, you’re all set. If not, you can purchase one from a registrar and we’ll help you connect it.
How do I accept payments for online ordering and gift cards?
Flavor Plate integrates with Stripe so payments go directly to your bank account. Sign up through your Flavor Plate admin and start accepting payments within minutes. Stripe charges a standard processing fee of 2.9% + 30¢ per successful charge. Learn more at stripe.com.
Does Flavor Plate support multiple languages?
Currently, Flavor Plate is available in English only. We’re continually expanding our capabilities, so please check back for updates.
Is a mobile-friendly website included?

Are there any hidden fees?

What happens when my 14-day trial expires?
Before your trial ends, you’ll receive a reminder email. To continue service, log into Flavor Plate, open the Account tab, and enter your credit card information. If you choose not to subscribe, your site will be turned off. Trial sites are typically saved for about 30 days and may be reactivated during that time. See our Terms & Conditions for details.
